Stage 3A - Java Developer - Study of Async HTTP Java open sources for both client and server side

The team:

The Java Service Framework team develops and maintains the core technical frameworks and APIs of the Murex platform, on top of which services are built. These frameworks enforce design best practices such as the usage of ReST APIs, built-in security, monitoring and tracing, lifecycle   management for integration in a cluster. 


The aim is to identify and compare the performances of http sync/async third parties libraries, for java based clients and servers. 

The estimated duration for the project should not exceed 6 months, including research, implementation, and testing. 


What you'll do:

You will be responsible of the following tasks: 


  • Develop a strong understanding of how HTTP sync and async works 
  • Develop a strong understanding of how to evaluate and compare the performance of technologies 
  • Understand the fundamentals of the Spring Framework and Spring Boot as the framework for building Java services 
  • Benchmarks the different solution using a standalone example 


You will be: 


  • Comparing different technologies to choose the ones that will be assessed 
  • Building and testing standalone software proving the shortlisted technologies are working 
  • Building, executing, and analyzing performance benchmarks 


Who you are:

  • Last year of studies (3A)
  • Computer science / engineering 
  • You are expected to have a very good understanding of Java language fundamentals: 
    • Familiarity with Spring / Spring Boot is a plus 
    • Familiarity with Maven or equivalent (Ant, Gradle) is a plus 
  • Expected to know English (French is a plus)
