Context :


The Code Health Team (CHT) is in charge of defining and implementing the strategy for the Murex codebase.

The teams' activity includes the definition of the principles that must be respected by the Murex codebase, the analysis (helped by tools developed by the CHT) of the Murex codebase, the enforcement of the principles (helped by tools developed by the CHT) at the level of the Murex codebase, the communication to the Murex developers for respecting the principles.


Internship subject:


As of today, the Murex developers mainly use C++ and Java as programming languages. The code written these both languages is scanned for detecting Code Anti-patterns of Security Violations.

The Murex developers also use minority languages such as Go, Python, Java Script.

The Murex DEV department also needs to be able to scan the code written in these minority languages for detecting Code Anti Patterns and Security violations.


The internship consists in defining the most relevant tools for scanning the code written in Go, Python, JavaScript and implement these tools for enforcing that the code written in these languages respect the principles in regards of Code Anti Pattern and Security. 


Missions :


Objectives of the internship:


  • Define and Implement the tools for scanning the JavaScript, Go, Python Third Party Software (TPS) (Security)
  • Define and Implement the tools for scanning the Murex codebase written in JavaScript, Go, Python (Code Anti-pattern and Security)




Profil :


  • 3rd year student in Computer Science

  • Knowledge in Go, Python, JavaScript languages
  • Good knowledge in Jenkins and scripting
  • Interested in Software engineering ("clean code", resilience, operability, continuous integration)
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to work in an Agile and highly collaborative context
