Team and context :


The Presales team plays a transversal role in the organization, and acts as a link between the marketing, sales/bizdev and product teams, to give salespeople the help and information they need to convince our customers that our product is the most suitable to their needs.

The ERM Presales team is also spread across Murex offices, hence the role can be Beirut, Dublin or Paris based.

You will act as an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Consultant covering a wide range of accounts in EMEA. You will be part of a growing team whose purpose is to best assist business development teams in EMEA (and sometimes in other regions) to acquire new accounts and expand at existing ones.


Your missions :


  • Qualify new opportunities with the sales team; understand the client requirements and map to existing Murex solutions and roadmap; identify gaps and risks
  • Coordinate different teams participating in RFI/RFP response; act as the pre-sales lead coordinator for major new ERM opportunities; provide responses to RFI/RFP
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations of the MX.3 solution to potential and existing customers; they may be one-off presentations or long selection workshops; the main focus will be on ERM and regulatory aspects for banking activities; the possible audience is very wide: IT, risk managers, C-Level managers
  • Monitor market trends and feed the product team with field feedback of product presentations
  • Be an integral part of the risk solution industrialization/automation team working on demo configuration, documentation, slideware, roadmap, catalogue description/pricing etc.
  • Attend team meetings to understand the global opportunities’ status and to share knowledge and insights with your colleagues; perform internal training
  • Work with the Murex Marketing team to create ERM documentation and to analyze the competitive landscape. You may already have had experience of other vendor’s risk products
  • Work with the Murex Go-to-Market (GTM) team to promote (internally and externally) a new ERM business solution, or extension of existing solution. Act as the Pre-Sales expert within the broader GTM team.
  • Occasional participation in marketing events; potentially acting as the Murex evangelist at risk conferences and seminars (such as RiskMinds International) where you promote thought leadership positioning to the market


Your profile :


  • Ideal candidate is someone with >5 years’ experience in capital markets technology.
  • Preferable experience includes supporting risk (or trading or treasury) at banks or other financial institutions.
  • Ideally, you have some knowledge and experience on more than one of these topics: Value-at-Risk (VaR); Stress Testing; Counterparty Risk; Limits; Regulations (such as SA-CCR and FRTB). You may also have knowledge of topics such as xVA (CVA, FVA, MVA, KVA) and Initial Margin calculation methods (SIMM, Schedule-based…).
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills. Fluency in English is a MUST
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of responsibility with high motivation
  • Willingness to travel in Europe and the Middle East. Typically, it amounts to a few days travel per month
