PES Consultant - Investment Management

Our team of product specialists designs, validates and delivers the core foundation of the solution for investment management used by Asset managers, Insurers or Pension funds.    

Because the value proposal we target requires a high level of integration across the entire value chain, we work closely with many other product management domains such as: Instruments and Analytics, ERM, Operations and Finance. 

In order to ensure that our solution meets the specific buy side industry requirements and takes into account the feedback from our customers and presales, we work closely with our client division to:   

  • Validate requirements and acceptance criteria on the entire value chain (e.g. order management, performance calculation and attribution or risk decomposition)   

  • Follow closely key accounts and implementations.   

 

Your missions/What you will do   

 

  • Working within the product team focused on investment management compliance you will contribute and deliver solutions evolving and supporting business processes managed by the MX.3 platform.  Delivering these solutions presents the ideal candidate with the opportunity to develop skills in an agile focused environment across pre-sales, project implementations where new product features are being implemented, product development projects as well as trainings, internal support to client teams etc. Clients will be both internal and external. 
  • The candidate will have experience in software implementation, ideally in the financial services sector, working in a challenging role that combines both technical IT and financial skills in the buy side. 
  • You will also have the opportunity to work with consultants and developers in a dedicated agile team, working with the SAFE methodology fulfilling the role of Product Owner within the agile team. You will help specifying the implementation and taking functional design choices. You will drive the testing plan of the implemented features, corresponding with the quality assurance domain to automate these tests.   
  • You will work on the support of the compliance offering, providing answers and solutions to client services with a high level of business and software expertise.   
  • You will be responsible for driving requirements from their definition to the packaging of their solution, ensuring a good visibility and understanding from client services and presales teams.   

 

Experience Required 

  

  • Minimum 1H / 2H1 degree in Math / Physics / Engineering, Finance or Information Systems 

  • 2 - 5 years proven experience in either the financial services sector or in IT consulting is desired. 

  • A track record of working with business stakeholders to functionally analyse business needs and deliver well thought out solutions 

  • Experience of an Agile project environment is essential 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills through English is essential.  Fluency in another language would be an advantage 

  • Experience of coaching and mentoring individuals/teams in a delivery focused environment is desirable 

  • Previous experience of the financial software industry is ideal 

  • Technical skills would be beneficial i.e. RDBMS (Sybase, Oracle), Unix / NT / LINUX operating systems 

  • Comfortable discussing technical aspects with the development team 

  • A drive to ensure the quality of the implemented software features, and the quality of the packaged solution

  • Willingness to travel, with a Dublin base is essential
