The Financial Control Team’s main responsibility is to analyze the functional requirements of the middle and back offices of financial institutions regarding the control of derivative products such as equities, interest rates, credit, FX commodities, and fixed income.  As a financial control consultant, you will perform the following duties:  

• Work with our clients throughout the whole development lifecycle, including pre-sale, system presentation, installation, implementation, training, production support, etc. 
• Diagnose technical and functional situations for the client by closely analyzing the situation, establishing links with the Murex platform, and acting accordingly 
• Write and distribute technical and functional documentation
• Maintain constant written and verbal communication with clients
• Carry-out pre-defined tasks to ensure client satisfaction and build products and services 
• Take responsibility for training the clients to ensure their autonomy in the configuration of product functionalities 
• Support the client within own scope of responsibility – development, testing, corrective measures, and improvement
• Monitor deadlines and priorities, clarity and precision of documentation, and quality and rigorousness of testing
• Complete project planning and support activities 
• Maintain a constant and transparent working relationship with team members
• Acquire expertise and master technical domains of the MX application
• Act autonomously in the boundaries set by manager

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or related field

1-3 years of customer service and support experience or relevant experience

An understanding of the financial markets, methods of calculation, and closing of financial results on a wide range of instruments and recommendations of major international institutions (European Central Bank, Federal Reserve Bank)

Good knowledge of financial derivative products and their lifecycle

A detailed understanding of the middle office (control activity) and the process of calculating results, validation of transactions, confirmations, and management of payments and accounting

Excellent analytical and communication skills

Fluency in Spanish

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience with relevant technical environments (XML, XLS, SQL, Solaris, command-based operating systems)

Experience with all aspects of the development lifecycle

Financial consultants must have a good background in applied mathematics, finance or accounting and a strong interest for financial markets. They must be reasonably comfortable in a technical environment similar to those used by our systems.

Financial knowledge is acquired during the first months and strengthened throughout the first two years. A good sense for client contact is of course essential

• Installs, configures and upgrades Oracle and Sybase database servers
• Installs, configures and upgrades Solaris, Linux and AIX servers
• Manages and troubleshoots problems within the Database and Unix infrastructure (more than 400 servers)
• Provides user support to more than 200 users across the company
• Writes system scripts to automate basic administration tasks
